Vandaag – maar ook al een paar keer eerder – ontving ik een open uitnodiging van “The Circle Foundation for the Arts” (een magazine over hedendaagse kunst) om mee te doen aan een wedstrijd van dit blad met als inzet een internationale groepsexpositie in een galerie in New York.
Aan wedstrijden van Circle Foundation for the Arts (CFA) is al eerder meegedaan, net als met inzendingen voor publicatie in het blad en exposities, waarbij de laatste begin mei was tijdens World Art Dubai 2024 met twee foto’s van Merlin.
Nu een nieuwe kans voor een expositie in een galerie in New York met een wedstrijd via deze organisatie.
“Through this contest, we will select up to 4 works or up to 3 artists to be included, at no additional cost, in the group show “New York I Love You” taking place this October 9 -15, 2024 at one of the most prominent New York art galleries.
The exhibition is organized by AGI Fine Art and hosted at the gorgeous Agora Gallery Chelsea (530 West 25th St New York NY).
The selected artist(s) will enjoy a full package service.”
De wedstrijd wordt in feite georganiseerd door AGI Fine Art waarbij de hoofdprijs een expositie is in de Agora Gallery in de wijk Chelsea.

“Through this contest we will select up to four works or up to three artists for the following:

✓ Professional exhibition coordination, including packing/unpacking of your art, hanging/installation, quality lighting, wall tags, price list.

✓ Insurance when the works are at the venue, for the duration of the show
✓ Full AGI Artist pack
Additionally,
20 Finalists will receive a Certificate and 20% discount valid for this or other AGI shows (valid for 1 year)
50 Honorable Mentions will receive a Certificate and 20% discount valid for all Circle contests for 6 months.

De kosten voor deelname aan deze wedstrijd bedragen €20 per inzending, waarbij de deadline 31 juli is.
Er is dus nog even tijd om te beslissen óf en dan uiteindelijk met wélke foto of foto’s ik ga meedoen aan de wedstrijd.
Het lijkt mij op dit moment in ieder geval een mooie gelegenheid.
