Na vorig jaar met een foto van Pien door te zijn gedrongen tot één van de 53 finalisten van de prestigieuze wedstrijd voor hedendaagse kunst, dit jaar opnieuw foto’s ingestuurd voor de Celeste Prize.

Vorig jaar ging het om de foto Pien (0504) waar op de website van Celeste Prize nog een mooi aandenken staat dat deze foto inderdaad finalist in de Celeste Prize 2016 was.
Ik kan me nog levendig herinneren hoe het voelde om de bewuste e-mail binnen te krijgen, maar ook de heisa die er mee gepaard ging (wat als een soort van feuilleton is terug te lezen met verschillende afleveringen: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 en 7) om na de bekendmaking de ingelijste foto in Londen te krijgen.
Hoewel het succes van vorig jaar eigenlijk moeilijk te evenaren dan wel te overtreffen is, heb ik dit jaar drie foto’s ingestuurd voor de Celeste Prize 2017.
Het gaat om één foto van Julia en twee foto’s van Claartje:
25 Augustus
Op 25 augustus maakt de jury de 53 namen van de kunstenaars bekend die in de finale staan.
6 Oktober
Op 6 oktober wordt de winnaar bekend gemaakt op een ceremonie in Bargehouse OXO Tower, London.

Prize
Artists, photographers and creatives submit online their artwork for review by a jury of top, art curators and critics. Six winners will receive 23,000 € prizes and every participant is up for selection in our 12 gallery benefits programme.
53 finalist works and projects will be chosen by a jury of top art curators and critics, led by Fatoş Üstek, Turkye. Prizes are awarded according to voting by the 53 finalist artists themselves at the final exhibition in London.
