Vlak nadat ik de benodigdheden had ingestuurd voor de International Prize Leonardo da Vinci, kreeg ik alweer een e-mail terug met daarin een verzoek van één van de organisatoren.

Mijn antwoord daarop was dat ik inderdaad de uitnodiging ontvangen had, maar dat ik nog genoeg tijd had:
Dear Francesco,
Yes, I’ve received your invitation for the Biennial of Nations. I feel really priviliged by it. I’ve to figure out which photo I will use and the costs of both printing and framing and sending it to Italy. So, I’m working on it, but because of my surgeries this year, I don’t have much energy and I’ll do little things at once.
Since the deadline is at the end of January, I figured out I had some time left.

Ook hierop kwam weer een snel antwoord:
Dear Tjeerd,
You will only begin to send me the application form.
If you send me the registration form now, I’ll give you a page in the “International Artists 2018” catalog. It’s my gift.
The photo of the work and payment can be sent at the end of January.

Blijkbaar wil Francesco me graag op de Biennial of Nations hebben.
Waar ik eerder nog twijfelde, heb ik nu de knoop doorgehakt: ik zal gaan deelnemen aan de Biennial of Nations, en dat heb ik hem ook maar meteen meegedeeld.
