Van Art Productions New York had ik een aantal vragen bij wijze van interview opgestuurd gekregen. Deze zijn nodig voor een zogenaamd Editorial Feature op de website van het bedrijf. Vandaag zijn de antwoorden verstuurd.
In de tussentijdse communicatie die ik heb gehad met de medewerker van het bedrijf had ik aangegeven dat ik vaak lang van stof ben en of dat een probleem is. Het antwoord was duidelijk:
“We really would like the editorial interview to be a feature that shines a multi-dimensional light onto your amazing work, this gives the viewer more of an insight into your creative process, influences and inspirations. So please! As LONG as possible!”
Uit de andere correspondentie filter ik nog even het volgende:
“By working together we are aiming to go beyond the constraints of your artist statement. This is not only important for galleries, art lovers and viewers in general but it also shows collectors why your work is of merit, value and of course collectible.”
“I completely understand that art is about the act and the creation of your work, and not over-explaining it. You may wish to leave the work open to interpretation, but if you could elaborate on your answers it would really pull the interest in your work and provide much more of a platform to leave the reader/viewer wanting more. “
“I do hope you will understand as I would prefer you to take several weeks to formulate your reply to the questions, answering in more detail and in a more considered raw way. Resulting in a truly exciting editorial, to be used in the promotion and exposure of your outstanding art to a wider audience. “
Ik heb een en ander ter harte genomen en uitgebreide antwoorden gestuurd naar Art Productions New York. Het voert te ver om die antwoorden hier weer te geven; deze komen, als het goed is, uiteindelijk verwerkt in de Editorial Feature.
