Vandaag kreeg ik in de e-mail een berichtje van Art Management Berlin met de uitnodiging voor de Official Launch van The First Berliner Art Book 2019 in het Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlijn.
The First Berliner Art Book is een publicatie in eigen beheer van Art Management Berlin (AMB). Het boek wordt in een relatief kleine oplage (2000 exemplaren) gedrukt en wordt ter promotie gebruikt voor de kunstenaars die in het Art Book zijn opgenomen door zowel de kunstenaars zelf als door AMB.

Vandaag dus de uitnodiging voor de officiële lancering van het boek in het Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlijn, zoals valt op te maken uit de e-mail:
We’re cordially invite you, as an Art Management Berlin’s artist featured in The First Berliner Art Book © 2019 and also the artists featured in The First Berliner Art Book © series, to take a part at the Official Launch of The First Berliner Art Book © 2019 In the contest of “The Artistic Forum on Cultural Diplomacy, Building Cultural Bridges through Art, Film and Music” that will take a place in Berlin, in the conference room of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy.
All interested artists that will be happy to receive The First Berliner Art Book 2019© on the stage of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in the Offcial Ceremony of the Launch of the new edition of The First Berliner Art Book © 2019 in Berlin, are cordially invited to register their participation until 5th February 2019!

We’ll be very happy to offer you personally your art books on the stage of the gala event of the Forum of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, in the official ceremony in the contest of “The Artistic Forum on Cultural Diplomacy, Building Cultural Bridges through Art, Film and Music” that will take a place 13th – 16th February 2019.
In this ocasion, all AMB’s artists featured in The First Berliner Art Book 2019 ©, have the bright possibility to receive the copies of The First Berliner Art Book 2019 © on the stage of the Forum in the official ceremony in the presence of the honorary Institute of Cultural Diplomacy guests and the officials of various cultural and politic circles, of the artists, art curators, critics, musicians, poets, writers and philosophers, Berlin embasies, German and abroad politic figures, that will be present at the Forum.
At the conclusion of the official ceremony the artists will have the opportunity to live there’s authographs on the exclusively The First Berliner Art Book© 2019 for the Forum’s officials and guests of the Institute.
It’s an extraordinary occasion to make new, valuable connections also with the noteworthy international guests from around the world of the fields of music, film, performance art, digital art, literature, and painting, that will share their perspectives alongside renowned artists and leading figures from international politics, diplomacy, academy civil society, and the private sector.

Anders dan vorig jaar wordt het kunstboek dit jaar dus officieel uitgereikt tijdens een ceremonie.
Ik word uitgenodigd om bij het evenement aanwezig te zijn op 13 februari, maar dan zal ik (helaas) voor de klas staan, want de ervaring leert dat ik voor dergelijke dingen geen verlof ga krijgen van mijn werkgever.
Maar toch: het is, zoals ook al door Gabriela wordt geschreven, wel een erg speciale gebeurtenis. Jammer dat ik daar niet bij kan zijn.
