In de e-mail een berichtje van ViewBug met als onderwerp: “Congrats! You have a new award, Studio Tjeerd!”
Zoiets maakt natuurlijk altijd nieuwsgierig!
Het e-mailtje was kort maar krachtig:

Het aanklikken van de link bracht me naar de volgende pagina op de website van ViewBug:
De tekst luidt:
“Congratulations StudioTjeerd, so far this is your most engaging photo that has inspired other members and has been awarded the Top Shot Award.

This award is a huge deal! It’s pretty awesome when members take the time to appreciate your photos. Top Shot is awarded to your photo that has the highest total time viewed.

Dat de foto de Award heeft gekregen blijkt uit het label die bij de foto zichtbaar is op de website van ViewBug.
Het toeval (?) wil dat dezelfde foto aan het begin van de vorige maand ook al in de spotlights is gezet, maar dan als Curator’s Choice Award. Blijkbaar valt deze foto goed bij de leden van ViewBug.
In de ruim drie jaar dat er foto’s worden ingeschreven voor fotowedstrijden op de website van ViewBug is er een inmiddels indrukwekkende lijst met featured foto’s (en finaleplaatsen) zoals te zien is op de onderscheidingen pagina op deze site.
