Via de e-mail ontving ik van de curator van Sei l’Arte de affiche voor de digitale expositie tijdens het filmfestival in Venetië (Italië) waarop mijn naam prijkt.
De expositie wordt gehouden in de Accorsi galerie en is tegelijkertijd onderdeel van de Venice Art Biennale en het Venice Film Festival (dat overigens officieel Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica heet).
De Accorsi galerie ligt in het centrale deel van de Biennale d’Arte dat de Biennale Giardini met de Biennale Arsenale verbindt.
De collectieve digitale expositie heeft als thema “Art and Time” en loopt van 31 augustus tot en met 14 september 2019 en is voor de hedendaagse kunst in het algemeen. Dat betekent dat allerlei soorten kunst aan bod komen waaronder schilderkunst, fotografie en beeldende kunst. De foto’s van Studio Tjeerd zullen in de digitale expositie tentoongesteld worden.
In de informatie die werd toegestuurd staat de gedachte achter het thema “Art and Time”:
Many times, observing a work does not take time into consideration.
Time is present in every work of art as are the subjects.
It has always been there and many times we do not realize it because when we have it under our eyes we do not give it the right weight.
Often time is associated with decay, death with its perpetual fluency.
Instead in this exhibition the aim is to make it alive through the works of the artists.
Time is the intrinsic value of every work of painting, photography, graphics, watercolor and sculpture; is inserted in their work, in their thoughts and in the details of the subjects.
De periode waarin de expositie gehouden trekt naar verwachting duizenden bezoekers.
