In de e-mail trof ik vanmorgen een persoonlijke uitnodiging van de contactpersoon van Gallerium Art aan om deel te nemen aan de internationale online expositie Femina 2022.
Bij deze expositie hoort ook een publicatie in een kunstboek en een catalogus.
Maar daarvoor moeten wel eerst eventuele foto’s worden goedgekeurd.
Gallerium Art is aangesloten bij de overkoepelende Canadese organisatie Biafarin.
Volgens de website van Biafarin is dit de vertaling van het woord “creëren” in het oude Perzische rijk (6e eeuw voor Christus) en was een schatkamer voor kunst in de wereldgeschiedenis.
De naam is gekozen om de diepe bewondering voor creatievelingen en kunstenaars van over de hele wereld te vertegenwoordigen.
Over Gallerium Art wordt op hun website (ondergebracht bij Biafarin) geschreven:
“Galleriumart exhibitions are intended to create equal showcasing opportunities for prominent visual artists worldwide.
Art improves people’s lives and showcasing art is our way of playing our part toward a better world.
In this way, Gallerium utilizes Biafarin exhibition platform to boost the benefits of the smart exhibitions.
Each one of Gallerium shows focus on a unique subject.”
Via Biafarin is het volgende overzicht van Gallerium Art op te vragen:

Uit het staatje blijkt dat er door Gallerium Art tot nu toe in totaal 8 exposities zijn georganiseerd en dat deze online door ruim 350 duizend unieke bezoekers zijn bezocht.
De waarde van deze exposities bedraagt ruim $4,5 miljoen, waarbij aangetekend dat dit waarschijnlijk het bedrag is van de waarde van 1.374 kunstwerken die te koop zijn aangeboden tijdens de exposities en niet per definitie het bedrag dat ook daadwerkelijk is geïnd.
Ik werd via de e-mail benaderd door een medewerker van Gallerium Art:

I am proud to invite you to apply for Femina (Woman) – 2022.
You are welcome to join us in another unique exhibition by Gallerium to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 08, 2022 and raise awareness for women’s achievements, rights and equality.”
Over het thema van de expositie, Femina, schrijft de contactpersoon het volgende:
“In Latin, Femina means Woman and Femina 2022 encourages visual artists worldwide to share their artistic expression about women.
As UN stated in their celebration for International Women’s Day 2022, “Women of the world want and deserve an equal future, free from stigma, stereotypes, and violence; a future that is sustainable, peaceful, with equal rights and opportunities for all.”
Emphasizing on UN quote for International Women’s Day in March 2022, we invite all artists working in any medium to join us in this celebration by sharing their artistic visions about women.”
Voor deze online expositie word ik dus uitgenodigd, waarbij er tot, in mijn geval, vijf foto’s kunnen worden ingezonden ter beoordeling; daaraan zijn geen kosten verbonden.
Wanneer de foto’s eventueel zouden worden goedgekeurd, vraagt men een geringe vergoeding.
In het geval dat de foto’s worden toegelaten tot de expositie, zit daar automatisch een publicatie aan vast in de catalogus die hoort bij de expositie en de publicatie in het kunstboek The Book of Arts: Femina.
Beiden zijn zowel online als in print te verkrijgen.
The Book of Arts is een serie hedendaagse kunstboeken uitgegeven door Discover the Artist media holding en Art Publications Network.
Hun missie is om via meerdere edities per jaar prominente kunst van kunstenaars met verschillende culturen en nationaliteiten te publiceren.
Uit de informatie op de website van The Book of Arts maak ik op dat er ten hoogste twee foto’s per uitgave worden gepubliceerd.
Op de websitepagina van deze specifieke expositie valt nog het volgende te lezen met betrekking tot de “prijzen” die te verkrijgen zijn bij deelname:

The selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Femina publication.
The online version of the book will be available for free, while the high-quality print can be ordered online and via our website directly.
Published in glossy colorful A4 pages, The Book of Arts: Femina will be promoted and distributed internationally, and will be available to thousands of readers, including experts, galleries, curators, businesses, and art enthusiasts, via popular publication gateways.
■ Exhibition
The selected artworks will be showcased in Femina – 2022 international group art exhibition, organized by Gallerium.
Selected artworks will be exhibited online from March 08 to April 08, 2022.
■ Exhibition Catalogue
All selected artworks and artists will be published in a stylish colorful exhibition catalogue available in both online and print versions.
Artists can order for the print catalogue via print-on-demand service from one of the partner platforms. The catalogue will be promoted and circulated internationally, becoming available to millions of viewers including art experts, galleries, curators, businesses and enthusiasts, via popular publication gateways.
■ Exhibition Poster
Each artist will receive a link to the digital version of the exhibition poster via email.
■ Social Media Badges
A digital social media promotional badge for each artwork will be sent to each artist to share on social media.
■ Artwork Ranking and Comments
All exhibition visitors can post their comments and ratings of each artwork online.
■ Exhibition Press Release
An exhibition press release sent out will be published in the art media to mark the event, attract more visitors, and increase the chances of artwork sales during the exhibition period.
■ Artist Profile Page
Each artist receives a free online profile page in Biafarin platform.
■ Certificate
A digital certificate will be issued for all participants and selected artists.
Each artist can print the digital certificate from Biafarin platform, after the submission is complete.
■ Biafarin Free Shipment
Selected Biafarin members with Gold and Platinum membership will use a free shipment of their artwork(s) in case of sales.
Een hele waslijst dus en absoluut een mooie kans, ook voor mijn modellen.
Ik zal eerst de (ouders van de) modellen gaan aanschrijven in hoeverre zij toestemming geven en aan deze expositie willen meewerken, maar ook welke foto(‘s) zij eventueel in deze tentoonstelling willen hebben.
Als laatste: de deadline voor inzending is 2 maart.
