Een tijdje geleden kregen Merlin en ik op Instagram een nieuwe volger: Beautica Magazine.
De moeder van Merlin kreeg vervolgens een DM voor een eventuele publicatie.
Na overleg hebben we besloten een aantal foto’s in te sturen voor mogelijke publicatie in dit tijdschrift.
Het magazine is onderdeel van Kavyar, een bedrijf die vele tijdschriften onder de paraplu heeft.
Een van die tijdschriften is Beautica Magazine.

Guidelines
All submissions are welcomed whether they are from photographers, models (male and female both), make-up artists, designers etc.
All the photographs sent for submission must be from one shoot otherwise there are chances of rejection of your submmision.

Allowed sizes (flexible rules – Images may be larger. If aspect ratio does not match, images may be cropped to fit printed page.):
Portrait: 8.5 × 11 in, 300 dpi (2550 × 3300 px)
Landscape: 17 × 11 in, 300 dpi (5100 × 3300 px)

Uit de richtlijnen wordt duidelijk dat de ingezonden foto’s uit één fotoshoot moeten komen.
Voor deze mogelijke publicatie zijn nu vijf foto’s ingezonden (het minimum aantal) uit de 8e shoot met Merlin.

Voor de inzending moest ook een titel worden aangegeven en daarvoor heb ik gekozen voor: “The Blue-eyed Girl in the Red Dress”.
Het is de tweede keer dat ik foto’s heb ingezonden via de website van Kavyar.
De eerste keer was voor The Style Researcher Magazine en die zijn uiteindelijk ook geplaatst.
Hoewel er wel het nodige voor gedaan moet worden (onder andere preperatie van de foto’s), is de website redelijk logisch ingedeeld en ging het uploaden van de foto relatief makkelijk.
En nu maar afwachten in hoeverre het team van Beautica Magazine de foto’s publicatiewaardig vindt.
Daarover komt uiterlijk 15 maart uitsluitsel, zo viel in de e-mail te lezen nadat de inzending gedaan was.
