Gisteren ontving ik van de hoofdredacteur van het L’Amour Magazine een bericht over het zogenaamde “Photography Release Form” dat moet worden ingevuld om de publicatie definitief te maken.
In het bericht stond een link naar het formulier dat ik vandaag heb gedownload en wilde invullen, maar nu blijkt dat er ook nog een ander formulier moet worden ingevuld: het “Parental / Guardian request form”.

Het “Photography Release Form” bestaat uit een aantal vragen die ik als fotograaf moet invullen:

I acknoledge being the legal owner or having full legal rights to permit non-commercial / commercial use of photographs that are being submitted to L’Amour Magazine _____ (initial)

I acknowledge that the work being submitted is being provided to L ‘Amour Magazine for the purpose of print publication _____ (initial)

I acknowledge having the permission of the Model(s) and Model Agency to submit these images to L’Amour Magazine for publication _____ (initial)

I acknowledge that the models includede in the submitted images are above the age of 18 _____ (initial)
* If the model is below the age of 18, please request the Parental / Guardian request form and we will provide it to you

I acknowledge that L’Amour Magazine does not provide paid compensation for the use of the images submitted for its magazine publication _____ (initial)

I hereby grant permission to L’Amour Magazine to produce these images on its website as well as Social Media Platforms which includes Twitter, Facebook and Instagram _____ (initial)

I also grant L’Amour Magazine the rights to create promotional artwork using the images submitted for purposes of promoting the submitting artist who is being featured _____ (initial)

The images submitted remain the property of the Photographer(s) _____ (initial)

Bij één van de vragen wordt gesteld dat, wanneer het model jonger is dan 18 jaar, er nog een “Parental / Guardian request form” moet worden ingevuld en die is dan bestemd voor de ouder(s).
Aangezien Merlin jonger is dan 18 jaar is dit het geval.

Ik heb daarom de hoofdredacteur terug gemaild dat ik dat formulier graag zou ontvangen, maar kreeg een automatisch gegenereerd antwoord terug:

Yesterday I contacted the mother of the model and of course she will sign the Parental / Guardian request form, so I would like to have the link to this document.
I emailed you but unfortunately I got the email returned via the automatic reply.
The link you provided is the one to the photography release form where one of the statements read:
I acknowledge that the models included in the submitted images are above the age of 18 (Initial)

So could you please send met the Parental / Guardian request form?

Als dat “Parental / Guardian Request form” binnen is, kan ik het doorsturen naar de moeder van Merlin met de vraag of zij dat wil invullen en aan mij wil terug sturen.
Vervolgens kan ik dat weer doorsturen naar de hoofdredacteur van het tijdschrift en pas dán is de publicatie ook definitief.

Ik hoop dat alles dan ook binnen een aantal dagen op orde is want de verwachte publicatiedatum van het Franse tijdschrift zal tussen 10 november en 10 december liggen.

Inmiddels is er al een indrukwekkend aantal publicaties in modellen-, fashion- en beautytijdschriften geweest met foto’s van Merlin:

Daar kan dus nu waarschijnlijk ook de publicatie in het L’Amour Magazine aan worden toegevoegd.
