Gisterenavond kreeg ik via een DM op Instagram een erg leuk berichtje van een curator van M.A.D.S. Art Gallery dat zij heel graag werk van mij in de galerie zou willen hebben.
Ik heb daarop gereageerd dat ik het heel erg leuk vond dat de curator zo enthousiast was en heb even kort aangegeven dat ik wellicht wel geïnteresseerd ben.
Vanmorgen trof ik al in mijn e-mail alle informatie aan over de aankomende expositie(s).
De e-mail zelf is een uitgebreide en heel erg lange en zal/mag ik hier ook niet herhalen, zoals onderaan de e-mail staat.
Wat ik natuurlijk wel kan doen, is een samenvatting geven van hetgeen er in de e-mail staat.
De galerie in Milaan heeft er in juli 2021 een zusje (hoofdkwartier) bij gekregen in Fuerteventura op de Canarische Eilanden.
De opzet is nog steeds dezelfde als in december 2020 toen het de laatste keer was dat werk van mij in de M.A.D.S. Art Gallery tentoon werd gesteld, tijdens de expositie Fable.
Daar waren toen vijf foto’s te zien.
Met hetzelfde bedoel ik dat de galerie kunstwerken fysiek digitaal tentoon stelt op grote monitoren en dus niet the oldfashioned way fysiek met ingelijste schilderijen aan de muur.
Deze monitoren zijn inmiddels wel geüpgraded naar (kolossale) touchscreen exemplaren van 50″, 55″, 60″, 75″, 85″ zowel in verticale als in horizontale stand.
En dat is op beide locaties het geval, dus in Milaan, Italië en in Fuerteventura op de Canarische Eilanden.
Daarnaast biedt de galerie de bezoeker Virtual Reality aan met de “VR OCULUS virtual reality viewer device”, waarbij de bezoeker de kunstwerken in de galerie in 3D kan bekijken.
De exposities waar ik nu voor word uitgenodigd zijn “ADRENOCROMO for dinner” die plaats vindt van 28 november tot en met 4 december in zowel Milaan als Fuerteventura.
Daarnaast is er nog een optie om aan het einde van het jaar deel te nemen aan een fysiek digitale expositie in La Pedrera in Barcelona in december 2022, maar informatie daarover heb ik nog niet ontvangen.
Over het thema “ADRENOCROMO for dinner” van de expositie eind november/begin december wordt een PDF meegestuurd en daarin staat het volgende te lezen:

In the famous scene, Johnny Deep asks his friend
«What is this shit?»
and his friend replies
«that stuff?… Makes pure mescaline seem like ginger beer, man. Adrenochrome»
«Adrenochrome? Hmm».
A scene of pure psychedelic delirium ensues, where the actor falls under a powerful hallucinogenic effect.
Despite its name, this substance has nothing to do with chrome, but indicates a relationship with color, as pure adrenochrome is characterized by an intense purple.
Purple carries a very deep meaning, as a symbol of metamorphosis,
transition and spirituality.
Derived from the union of two primary colors, red and blue, this color expresses a conciliation between the extroversion of the former and the introverted receptivity of the latter, alluding to a harmony between opposites.
It is the color of contemplation, of the union between the human and the divine, between heaven and earth.
For M.A.D.S. Art Gallery, the idea of consuming this substance during an evening meal, becomes an opportunity for union and mutual sharing in which Art takes on a totalizing role.
It is a moment in which artists can feel free to show their deepest
impulses, accompanying us to experience the intimacy that characterizes the creative act.
Art for M.A.D.S. Art Gallery, becomes adrenochrome, a mysterious and powerful substance capable of leading man towards new universes, raising his consciousness and intensifying his understanding of the world.
A magnificent distillation of cognitive experiences, creativity and mysticism, which allows whoever uses it to see through new,
purer and freer eyes.
The artist, therefore, becomes the mediator between the human
and the divine world, the one who manages to translate what he experiences into new languages, giving life to containers of emotions and wonder.
He is the fusion of red and blue, the point of contact, the tear in the veil, the magnifying glass on the world, the pure adrenochrome. M.A.D.S. Art Gallery, on the occasion of the exhibition “ADRENOCROMO for dinner”, therefore asks the artists to share their deep inner drives through their creations, making us participants in experiences otherwise unknown and impossible to
explore, to make us taste their art essence.
Ik vind het moeilijk om nu direct “ja” te zeggen tegen deze expositie(s) en dat heeft deels te maken met het thema.
Op dit moment zou ik nu niet één, twee, drie een recente foto kunnen bedenken die hier bij past.
Sowieso heb ik de laatste tijd niet veel fine-art/kunst foto’s gemaakt en de meest recente zijn foto’s van en met Merlin.
Ik zal eerst eens de moeder van Merlin polsen of zij wellicht hier aan wil meewerken.
