LPA January 2024: Nog een aardig follow-up mailtje

Na de ontvangst van het certificaat en de badge die behoren bij de Excellence Award van de Legacy Photography Awards (LPA) heb ik de contactpersoon nog een keer bedankt.
En de reactie op die e-mail was nog een aardige follow-up.


Gisteren kreeg ik via de e-mail de badge en het certificaat en heb nog een e-mail gestuurd om de organisatie te bedanken.

In mijn dankjewel e-mail had ik het volgende geschreven:
“Once again, thank you so much for your personal reply: I truly appreciate that.
The fact that you and your organisation takes the time to view and review the works that are submitted says a lot about how your are engaged with the photographers who submitted work, if that makes sense.
You invest time in this and it’s not only collecting money, if you know what I mean.
It’s like having your work exhibited with a gallery, and is adding value to these contest, so please continue in doing this marvellous work.
To me as a photographer it definitely is added value to my work.
It gives more insight in my work and also how other people see my photos.
So you definitely got my confidence and as I wrote in my previous email, I will surely send another photo for the next/this running contest this month.

Thank you for sending your certificate and badges: I’m proud of it and I will write a blogpost on my website.
And when I’m able to log in to Instagram, I also will post it on my feed.

I wish you and your team a great rest of the week!”

Het antwoord was hartverwarmend:
“Thank you very much for your kind words!!

We believe that it is essential that there is feedback from us, otherwise, as you say, it would just be a matter of collecting money.
Besides, our mail is always open for anyone who needs our advice on any photographic subject.
Sometimes it’s details about retouching or lighting, sometimes about composition… If we can help, we are happy to do so!!
We believe that the effort required is minimal and in return we receive messages as beautiful as yours that fill us with joy 🙂
Once again, infinite thanks for your kindness.“

De Legacy Photography Awards schrijft maandelijks een wedstrijd uit en in januari is daar voor het eerst aan meegedaan om mee te kunnen dingen voor de titel International Photographer of the Year.

En, zoals ik mijn e-mail aan de organisatie schreef, nu nog wel gaan uitzoeken welke foto ik voor de maand februari ga insturen.
