Véél sneller dan de vorige keer, zelfs binnen een half uur, kreeg ik de bevestiging dat de inzending van foto’s van Merlin voor La Belle Magazine is geaccepteerd.
Uit de e-mail blijkt dat tenminste:
“Congratulations, your submission is accepted by La Belle! And we will send out an announcement with print & digital links once it’s released!
Our quarterly issues are published around the end of January, April, July & October (could be a week earlier or later). We announce new issues on Instagram, Facebook, and send email announcements!

Nu lijkt dat enigszins op een automatische gegenereerd bericht, maar op de gewone e-mail, die ik, zoals de moeder van Merlin en ik hadden afgesproken, extra had verstuurd, kreeg ik ook een enthousiaste bevestiging binnen:
Beautiful Merlin will be published in the upcoming issue, estimated in early to mid-May; we will send out announcements once it is out!
Please feel free to send an article if they want to do so.
It’s optional.
The article can tell everyone about her modeling experiences, any significant achievements, fashion shows, competitions, any important modeling jobs for well-known brands etc., and her talents and hobbies beyond modeling, etc.
Or anything they like to tell us about Merlin!
The photos are amazing and gorgeous!
We can’t wait to publish!

Het lijkt er dus nu wel echt op dat de foto’s van Merlin zullen worden gepubliceerd.
In de persoonlijke e-mail wordt ook nog gevraagd of ik nog een klein stukje over Merlin zou willen schrijven.
In antwoord op die e-mail heb ik onderstaande e-mail terug gestuurd:

As for your question about a short article about Merlin: I’ve already asked the mother of Merlin whether she would like to be included in a short article.
We, Merlin and I, have achieved a lot in the years we work together, including several international prizes, publications and exhibition (upcoming one in Dubai).
As far as I can understand from your lines, it must be specifically about Merlin and not about our collaboration, am I right?
My question in return is how short short is, in other words, how many words maximum does the short article have to be?

Nu even afwachten wat het antwoord precies zal zijn over het stukje van/over Merlin en of Merlin en haar moeder wellicht daar ook een bijdrage aan willen leveren, immers we hebben de foto’s samen gemaakt gedurende onze samenwerking.
In ieder geval zit er nu veel meer schot in de zaak dan de vorige keer toen we de inzending hebben gedaan en dat is vooral veelbelovend.
Op de website van het tijdschrift staat te lezen waar het tijdschrift voor staat:
