Gisteren heb ik alle benodigdheden voor de publicatie in The First Berliner Art Book 2025 opgestuurd en vandaag kreeg ik in de e-mail de bevestiging dat alles in orde is en dat dus publicatie in dit kunstboek een feit is!
The First Berliner Art Book is een publicatie in eigen beheer van Art Management Berlin (AMB) die gevestigd is in de Duitse hoofdstad.
Het boek wordt in een relatief kleine oplage (1.500 exemplaren) gedrukt en wordt ter promotie gebruikt voor de kunstenaars die in het Art Book zijn opgenomen.
Een aantal jaar zijn foto’s van Studio Tjeerd gepubliceerd in The First Berliner Art Book, waarvan de laatste in 2022 was.
In 2023 en 2024 is er geen publicatie geweest simpelweg omdat er onvoldoende geschikte foto’s waren om in dit art book te laten publiceren.
Vijf jaar achtereen zijn foto’s gepubliceerd in dit kunstboek:

In een eerder blogbericht is al uitgebreid beschreven wat de publicatie in dit kunstboek precies inhoudt.
In de e-mail vandaag dus de bevestiging dat alles in goede orde is aangekomen én dat de foto’s worden gepubliceerd:
“Dear Tjeerd,
We’re very delighted to receive your gorgeous photographs to the upcoming 2025 edition and we let you know gladly that we’ve received all the necessary information from you.
All is in order and we conclude successfully your adherence to our art project The First Art Berliner Book 2025 ©.
You can find as an attachment the invoice for your payment for your order and please to confirm the receipt.
As in each year, as soon as it will be ready we’ll send you the PDF pages for your kind acceptance.”

In mijn e-mail naar de curator had ik ook nog een aantal vragen gesteld met betrekking tot de mogelijkheid om foto’s te verkopen via AMB Art Shop Gallery platform.
Daarop heb ik in de e-mail min of meer antwoord gekregen, maar het roept ook direct weer vragen op.
“As you’re interested to sell your prints on our new AMB sell platform, please to let us know about your interests to include your 6 artworks that will be featured in The First Berliner Art Book 2025 © in our AMB Exclusive Art Shop Gallery.
If you might be interested to sell another works, please to send us via WeTransfer totally until 10 photographs of your personal choice with there’s technical details.
Please, kindly, to align always the technical details of your photographs under the following sequence in between with a coma as the Title, Size, Technique, Year.
The first 10 your artworks will be included free of charge and if you might wish to include in AMB’s Exclusive Art Shop Gallery more photographs, there’s a small fee for each new photography that will be included in AMB Exclusive Art Shop Gallery: the fee for processing your data.
Please to send us an PDF list of available sizes of your prints of each your photography and accordingly we’ll send you the price list of AMB’s experts evaluation commition.
Art Management Berlin reserves the rights to deduct 40 % from any sell on AMB’s Exclusive Art Shop Gallery and as soon as it will be concluded any sell of your artwork you’ll receive asap your funds via a bank transfer.
We’re looking forward gladly to your news and we’ll be very glad be able to work with you further more on your 2025 advertising campaign along with our exclusive advertising partner Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz Berlin.

En dus heb ik de curator, als antwoord op haar e-mail, de volgende e-mail gestuurd:
“Dear Gabriela,
Thank you so much for your email and the confirmation that everything is alright ánd that I’m part of the First Berliner Art Book 2025.
It is truly a honor to me and my models!
I also hereby confirm the receipt and I’m already looking forward to the PDF pages.
About the AMB Art Shop Gallery: am I right that the six photos I sent to you for the publication in The First Berliner Art Book 2025, are immediately selected for this shop?
If necessary they can be switched (not that I’m intended to, but I just ask)?
And there is a possibility to add four more photos to the Shop Gallery to no extra expence, is that right?
If I understand correctly, I can make a list of the photos (up to 10 photos) with the Title, Size, Technique and Year, send it to you in a PDF format, and you and your curators will prize the photos accordingly, am I right?
Do you work with limited editions?
How long can I make use of the Art Shop Gallery? Is it until next year or is it unrestrained in terms of time?
Do you already have any experience with selling artworks via the Art Shop Gallery?
Do you advertise the artworks of your artists in the social media and/or your physical gallery?
Is it possible to advertise myself for example with flyers in your physical gallery?
And last but not least: when can this start?
I do have to consult (the parents of) the models and get their consent for this type of promoting my models and since it’s holiday season (I also have holidays at this very moment), it may take some time to get their permission.
I know: a lot of questions from my part, but I hope they don’t bother you.

Het zijn natuurlijk een hoop vragen die ik stel, maar ik wil vooral weten waar ik aan toe ben wanneer foto’s verkocht worden via AMB’s Exclusive Art Shop Gallery.
Nu afwachten wat de antwoorden zullen zijn, maar vooral ook genieten van het feit dat er weer een aantal foto’s geplaatst gaan worden, met alle voordelen daarnaast voor mijn modellen, in dit kunstboek.
