Ietwat later dan blijkbaar was gepland, kreeg ik vandaag een e-mail van Art Productions New York met betrekking tot de Editorial Feature. Er komt inderdaad een follow-up.
Wegens Thanksgiving is het bedrijf een week lang gesloten geweest, waarvoor de medewerker van Art Productions New York zich verontschuldigt.
“I hope you don’t mind that I have several additionial questions before the interview shall be complete.
In our previous questions you touched on what is integral to your work as an artist. Can you elaborate further on how has your practice change over time in relation to this?
– What has been your scariest experience as a creative?
– Describe a real-life situation that inspired you?
– What memorable responses have you had to your work?
– Is the artistic life lonely? What do you do to counteract it?
– Do you feel pressure or a need to comply with visual trends and market demands at all- if so how do you handle this?
– What research to you do for your pieces?
– What is your dream project?
– What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given (that relates to your art)?
– What wouldn’t you do without (creatively)?
I also request at least 10 new images (that differ from those on your Production Profile page) to go with the interview. If you can review and send these directly that would be ideal.”
Waren de eerste vragen voor mij al een flinke kluif, met deze vragen ben ik ook nog wel eventjes bezig, zeker ook omdat het in deze periode van het jaar erg druk is met mijn “gewone” werkzaamheden als docent.
In de e-mail wordt ook gevraagd om tien nieuwe beelden die bij het interview geplaatst zullen worden. Daarover zal ik in ieder geval contact opnemen met de modellen en/of hun ouders en hiervoor toestemming vragen.
En ondertussen zal ik mijn hersens pijnigen om de vragen afdoende te beantwoorden.
