In de e-mail trof ik vandaag een persoonlijke uitnodiging aan van de galeriehouder van Espace Vision’Art (EVA) om deel te nemen aan een grote kunstmarkt Art Shopping die in oktober gehouden zal worden in Carrousel du Louvre in Parijs.
De fotogalerie Espace Vision’Art is nog een heel nieuwe galerie die vorig jaar oktober haar deuren opende.
De galerie is gevestigd in het Parijse Quartier Latin (5e arrondissement).
Augustus vorig jaar werd ik benaderd door de galeriehouder met de vraag of ik mee wilde doen in de start-up van zijn galerie.
Uiteindelijk is in september 2023, na overleg met de moeder van Merlin, een 30-tal foto’s van Merlin naar de galerie gestuurd.
In de uitgebreide e-mail die ontving, staat wat de kunstbeurs Art Shopping in Carrousel du Louvre precies inhoudt.

I wanted to inform that Espace Vision Art will participate this year in the prestigious Art Shopping art fair in Paris.
This year too, the Carrousel du Louvre will host the international contemporary art fair ART Shopping, from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 October 2024, for an autumn edition not to be missed.
Art Shopping Paris’ main contemporary art fair, returns to the Carrousel du Louvre next autumn. For its 33rd edition, the fair will present artists and galleries from around the world in this important Parisian venue.
Every year the event attracts more than 10,000 visitors, who come to discover and purchase works by painters, photographers, sculptors and digital artists.The idea behind Art Shopping? Invite talented artists to explain their art and talk to enthusiasts and collectors.
At the fair’s stands, you can admire a wide range of art forms: painting, sculpture, digital art, engraving, street art, photography.
And speaking of photography, the fair highlights this art form with Photo Shopping, a space dedicated to digital art and photography that brings together talented artists.
It is precisely in this context that Espace Vision Art (Paris gallery specializing in photographers and digital artists) has decided to present its artists.
The gallery will be present with a large exhibition space – Stand C6 – inside Photo Shopping, the new section that Art Shopping has been dedicating to photography and digital art for 2 years.
Through the project “The Wall PHOTOGRAPHY and DIGITAL ART” the gallery wants to present its artists, coming from all over the world, to the large international public who will visit the fair.
We have 3 exhibition proposals:
– Participation with 1 work measuring 20 x 20 cm within “The Wall PHOTOGRAPHY and DIGITAL ART” (the gallery will take care of the printing of the work, or detail of the work on dibond) in the stand of the Espace Vision Art gallery – Stand C6 – on the occasion of the Art Shopping art fair which will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre from 18 to 20 October 2024.
– Participation with 2 works measuring 20 x 20 cm within “The Wall PHOTOGRAPHY and DIGITAL ART” (the gallery will take care of the printing of the works, or particular of the works on dibond) in the stand of the Espace Vision Art gallery – Stand C6 – on the occasion of the Art Shopping art fair which will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre from 18 to 20 October 2024.
– Participation with 4 works measuring 20 x 20 cm within “The Wall PHOTOGRAPHY and DIGITAL ART” (the gallery will take care of the printing of the works, or particular of the works on dibond) in the stand of the Espace Vision Art gallery – Stand C6 – on the occasion of the Art Shopping art fair which will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre from 18 to 20 October 2024.

Dit lijkt mij een heel mooie gelegenheid om een foto van Merlin in Parijs onder de aandacht te krijgen en zal deze e-mail ook naar Merlin en haar moeder doorsturen.
Omdat ik tot aan tenminste oktober dit jaar me laat vertegenwoordigen door Espace Vision’Art kan ik 35% korting krijgen op de normale deelnameprijs.
Op dit moment zou ik kiezen voor één foto om tentoon te stellen tijdens de kunstbeurs.
Een aantal jaar geleden (in 2018) heb ik, met een foto van Catinca, ook meegedaan aan deze kunstbeurs Art Shopping.
Maar welke foto van Merlin het nu zou moeten worden?
Naar mijn idee niet een foto die op dit moment al in expositie is in de galerie.
Maar ik laat Merlin en haar moeder hier graag over meebeslissen.
De foto’s van Merlin die al in de galerie op regelmatige basis op een scherm in de etalage worden vertoond staan hieronder.
Voor degenen die willen zien welke informatie er bij de foto’s is gegeven in september afgelopen jaar, kunnen deze PDF downloaden.
Inmiddels zou die wel weer aangevuld kunnen worden.
De deadline is 31 maart, dus we hebben nog ruim drie weken om daar over te beslissen.
